Our Mission

The mission of Társadalomfejlesztési Módszertani és Szolgáltató Központ Nonprofit Kft. is, as a professional-methodology centre, to provide aid to its collaborative partners to reduce the negative social, economic and cultural effects triggered mainly by aging as a process.
The goal for all of us is that:
  • For all elderly and senior citizens who want to work to have meaningful and appreciated work.
  • To maintain their physical and mental health during their whole life.
  • To possess up to date knowledge so that they could better exploit the values of their experiences – with the aid of life-long learning and training.
  • To actively take part in shaping social processes and decisions.
  • The social-economic environment should fully support the use of those advantages deriving from their practical experiences.
Our program

According to the results of the research conducted in the past centuries the effects of the ageing population could be mitigated by the complex, integrated development of the following three areas:
  • The world of work: the world of work is the primary area of the development model. The goal is that the senior population could stay, as long as possible, in employment, which could help to sustain the quality of their own life and to realise social goals.
  • Health: important, basic condition of the program is to maintain the ability to work. Without this ability there is no possibility of working, and without work the mental and physical deterioration could start very soon. The aim is to keep everyone healthy for as long as possible.
  • Knowledge: in modern societies life-long learning is a must. It has to be noted that to sustain competitiveness continuous learning is required. This doesn’t only concern professional knowledge but the continuous development of abilities and skills such as computer, language, communications skills, being able to work in teams, commitment and realising goals.

These three fields are correlated with each other and their development is only possible in one system. With the help of our program worked out in the past years these three fields can be reached all at once, at the same time.
Based on the measures put in place in the developed countries in the past decades we can achieve the best results in the following fields.

Communication

Any intervention can only be successful if the participants and those affected know, understand and accept this process. The most important part of the activity is to make the relevant information available to the target groups. Beyond the establishment of external (for the concerned groups) and internal (those executing the project) communication channels, articulating the messages accurately to the target groups helps the successful realisation.

Regulation

In the administration practice, regulation is an important tool to reach goals. By formulating the appropriate policies, the conditions for a smooth operation can be ensured.

Research and development

Although we know several facts and processes, more research needs to be carried out so that we could define, as accurately as possible, the necessary actions in the possession of the adequate knowledge. Beside the utilisation of research results, we need to put the development processes to the test, to introduce best practice models on experimental basis.

Measures, programs

Tested means built on the appropriate research results can be introduced as measures and as programs assisted or lead by local governments.

Cooperation

As the problem is complex, the cooperation of each member and interest group of the society is needed to achieve success. At the moment several state institutes, local authorities, civil and labour organizations and interest groups attend to this problem. Efficiency and success are significantly improved if these parties could multiply the results by cooperating with each other.
